EVENTS
St. John's Church hosts a number of community events throughout the summer, including book club, Bible study, and music programs. For a full calendar of events, please see below. The events calendar is updated regularly, so check back for new additions!

BOOK GROUP
We will meet virtually via Zoom beginning on Friday, July 10 at 11:00 a.m. This summer we will be reading Listening for God, volume III, edited by Paula Carlson and Peter Hawkins. You may order your own copy via amazon here.
This collection of short stories in American literature explores the intersection between current culture, the life of faith, theology and the call of discipleship. Reading 1-2 selections each week will provide a manageable, contained opportunity for reflection. A limited number of copies will also be available at the Rectory beginning on July 3.
BIBLE STUDY
St. John's Church co-hosts a weekly summer Bible study with the Fishers Island Union Chapel. Bible study is jointly led by Rev. Michael Spencer and Rev. Candace Whitman.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Vestry is currently considering the format of Bible study for Summer 2020. Please contact Rev. Micheal Spencer if you are interested in participating.

MUSIC AT ST. JOHN'S
St. John's is proud to host a number of music events each summer featuring organist Dan Moriarty, as well as visiting musicians and artists from our island community. These concerts are made possible thanks to generous donations from church members to refurbish the W. Richard Bingham Memorial Organ. For more information on music at St. John's click here.
OTHER EVENTS
St. John's Church hosts a number of other community events throughout the summer season, including a Blessing of the Pets and The Last (Lobster) Supper.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Vestry is currently considering the format of events for Summer 2020. Please check back soon for more information.
